What Is Restylane®?

Restylane is a brand of dermal fillers that uses hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, to smooth wrinkles, enhance facial contours and create fuller lips. This line of fillers allows you to maintain a very natural appearance, even when making facial expressions that move the treated areas of the face.

Restylane® Recovery and Downtime

Post-treatment, you may experience some degree of swelling and bruising. This is typically mild, and often subsides within a few days to a week. Downtime is minimal, and most patients return to normal activities shortly after the procedure based on their comfort.

Expected Results From Restylane®

When Will I See My Results?

You can typically see the results of a Restylane treatment immediately after the procedure. The filler works instantly to add volume and smooth out wrinkles. However, it might take a few days to see the final results, as swelling and bruising from the injection process can affect the initial appearance. Usually within a week or so, bruising and swelling subside (depending on the product as well as the duration of the FDA studies), revealing the full effects of the treatment.

How Long Will My Restylane® Results Last?

Generally, Restylane fillers remain in the treated area for six to 18 months, but many patients experience results for much longer. Restylane fillers not only provide immediate volume and wrinkle reduction but can also lead to long-lasting skin improvements through a process called neocollagenesis. This process stimulates collagen production in the skin, enhancing skin quality and structure over time.
